UMaine Hutchinson Center announces Inspired Leadership Program on Diversity and Authenticity
Belfast, Maine– The University of Maine Hutchinson Center will offer a two-day workshop on Inspired Leadership focusing on diversity and authenticity, Dec. 7–8, 8:30 a.m.–3 p.m. This professional development program will benefit leaders in the fields of education, business, nonprofits, human resources and those interested in developing or strengthening leadership skills.
Participants will have the opportunity to explore emerging elements of diversity in the Maine workforce, gain new insight into their own gifts and leadership style; experience leading-edge sessions on adverse childhood experiences (ACE) and other topics; and enjoy a journey of self- discover that will inform and strengthen their skills and interactions going forward.
The first day of the program will focus on diversity with presenters from OUT Maine and the Maine Multicultural Center, and a session on ACEs and resilience. Day two will engage a journey of self-discovery that will inform and strengthen leadership skills and interactions.
Caer Hallundbaek, the facilitator of this retreat-style workshop, holds a doctorate in interdisciplinary leadership from Creighton University and served as a faculty member of the University of Maine teaching authentic leadership.
Hallundbaek works on the forefront of emerging issues of leadership in environments of change. For 25 years she has helped guide the process of meaningful change and growth in Fortune 500, nonprofit, education, tech, policy, health and faith-based environments.
