Belfast, Maine — The University of Maine Hutchinson Center will host six one-act plays presented by Belfast’s Cold Comfort Theater on April 6-7, featuring the works of six emerging playwrights.

Cold Comfort Theater, founded in 1971, presents plays written by developing artists. The theater’s artistic director is Aynne Ames.

The six plays and playwrights are: “Conjured Eyes” by Bundy H. Boit; “Bicycle Built for Two” by Delvyn Case; “Jerry Hofnagle’s Top Ten List” by Laura Emack; “Lunacy, Buffoonery and a Little Bit of Jesus” by Dusty Raatz; “For Joe and Sara” by Mike Rowe; and “What Lies Beneath” by Chalmers Hardenbergh. Each play will be followed by a five-minute question and answer period between the audience and the playwrights. The evening’s music will be provided by Lincoln Blake on the keyboard.

The free public performances are from 7-9 p.m.; donations are appreciated.
