Are you looking for a job? Hoping to hire seasonal or permanent employees? We’re pleased to invite you to attend the Fourth Annual Belfast Regional Job Fair at the UMaine Hutchinson Center on April 7, from 3-6 p.m.
Employees can be difficult to find these days. Low unemployment rates in Maine, other parts of new england and across the US are causing a notable labor shortage. The Fourth Annual Belfast Job Fair is an effort to connect employers and job-seekers for a few hours on a spring afternoon.
Employers wishing to register should send an email to david.m.grima@maine.gov or call 207.596.2600 with the name of the employer, location, brief industry description, phone number and contact name. Participation for employers is capped at 50–we recommend applying to register as far in advance as possible.
Job seekers do not need to register in advance. Simply show up! Make sure you dress professionally, have copies of your resumé and/or portfolio on hand and are ready to impress. In previous years, some job seekers have gotten hired on the spot! This job fair is a great opportunity for workers of all kinds to find employment. Graduating high school students, formerly-incarcerated citizens, veterans, college graduates and seniors are all welcome. Whether you’re currently unemployed, underemployed or curious about what’s out there, the Fourth Annual Belfast Job Fair is right for you.
The job fair is sponsored by the City of Belfast, Belfast Area Chamber of Commerce, Belfast Creative Coalition, Our Town Belfast, the UM Hutchinson Center, Workforce Solutions, and the Maine Department of Labor.
Please direct all questions to David Grima at david.m.grima@maine.gov or 207-596-2600.
