intergenerational group of business people planning a project around a tablePractical Project Management is a comprehensive professional development course that provides useful skills for managing projects in the real world. This concrete and targeted approach will meet you where you are and quickly propel you forward in your project management practice. Online Practical Project Management is the program for you if you are new to project management, have done a few projects and want to build your effectiveness, or if you’re an experienced project manager looking for new tools and techniques to optimize your practice.

We’ll walk through a project from start to finish, defining and initiating our project, determining scope, then building a work breakdown structure, project plan and Gantt charts. Along the way, we’ll talk about communication plans, time management, negotiation, conflict, stakeholders and team building. We’ll also take time to discuss project management concerns that are timely or interesting to you. Bring your hot topics and real-life examples. Our best class discussions are driven by participant interest and curiosity.

When our time is done, you’ll walk away with a stack of tools to apply to your project management practice, a book to enhance your learning, and a whole class full of colleagues to call on when you get stuck.
