Kosti Ruohomaa biographer, Deanna Bonner-Gantor, and photo archivist Matt Wheeler will present a talk and slideshow on the Penobscot Marine Museum’s historic photography exhibit “Kosti Comes Home: An Exhibit of Maritime Images by Maine’s Iconic Photographer Kosti Ruohomaa” on Wednesday, December 12, from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. at the University of Maine Hutchinson Center.
Deanna Bonner-Gantor will speak about Kosti’s life and work while Matt Wheeler will speak about the collection coming to the Penobscot Marine Museum and future plans for the exhibit.
Both “Kosti Comes Home: An Exhibit of Maritime Images by Maine’s Iconic Photographer Kosti Ruohomaa” and “The Alluring and Enduring Maine Coast” are currently on display at the University of Maine Hutchinson Center’s H. Allen and Sally Fernald Art Gallery. The exhibits and the December 12th presentation are open to the public and are free of charge. The H. Allen and Sally Fernald Art Gallery is open Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.- 7 p.m.
