PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The information age–and the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic–have allowed many people to work online/from home or in many cases, in a hybrid work environment. While working remotely has many advantages, never meeting with colleagues, clients, or customers face-to-face can be challenging. With a little training, increased awareness, and intention, you can learn how to maximize your virtual presence during meetings you are attending or facilitating. This short professional development program will teach you how to make the most out of virtual meetings.

The online format of this course makes it possible for participants from across the globe to participate. A stable internet connection and the ability to participate in this synchronous sessions as it is happening is required.

MODALITY
This dynamic program will be offered synchronously via Zoom—you’ll need access to a stable internet connection. The Hutchinson Center has a limited number of computers (and plenty of Wi-Fi to go around). If you’d like to participate virtually via the Hutchinson Center, please request support via the form here.
INSTRUCTOR BIO
Tom Dowd, Distinguished Toastmaster (he/him/his)
Tom Dowd (also known as “Transformation Tom”!) received a communications degree from the University of Delaware. He is a prize-winning speaker, and an award-winning and Amazon best-selling author, trainer and coach. As a member of Toastmasters International, Dowd exhibits consistent success in speech competitions and achieved the Distinguished Toastmaster status in 2015. Dowd utilized his 25+ years of experience in the financial and customer service industry to start Thomas Dowd Professional Development and Coaching, LLC, where he helps people to creatively find their own paths to success.
